Message from AHVAP President-Elect
Courage, Belief and Vision, and the Greatest is Vision!
Alan Mulally shared this great quote, “Leadership is having a compelling vision, a comprehensive plan, relentless implementation, and talented people working together.” As we think back on our AHVAP 2023 year, I reflect on our courageous year filled with belief in our Value Analysis specialty. I am so immensely proud of our journey and accomplishments and look forward to our AHVAP 2024. This is the year, AHVAP will continue to have such an important influence on healthcare and continue to develop and collaborate with vision.
Helen Keller once said, “The only thing worse than being blind is having sight but no vision. Where there is no vision, there is no hope. Vision is the art of seeing what is invisible to others. Keep your dreams alive.” Our path from our dreams to success does exist, and we have experienced many of our/your dreams over the past 12 months. Our AHVAP path for 2024 is a wonderful path to the advancement of both Value Analysis and AHVAP. So, I would say that AHVAP clearly has a compelling vision supported by a comprehensive plan. We have an incredible vision and plan for our AHVAP future.
When we look back on AHVAP and 2023, you find multiple examples of our relentless implementation, from our AHVAP position statements to our industry collaboration with other industry leading professional organizations.
And finally, and most importantly, are the amazing talented people in our AHVAP organization and those leading our organization. These are some of the most incredible Value Analysis professionals in the business alongside of the most talented leaders in the industry.
So, as we close our AHVAP 2023 and look to all the Value Analysis opportunities in 2024, may we have the vision to find it, the courage to accomplish it, and the dedication to pursue it.
