AHVAP Bylaws Amendments Successfully Adopted by AHVAP Membership
Dear AHVAP Members and Partners:
We are pleased to announce that the proposed changes to the AHVAP bylaws have been officially approved by the AHVAP membership and are now in effect as of February 21, 2024. This marks a significant milestone in our continuous effort to adapt and thrive in the ever-evolving landscape of healthcare value analysis. As part of AHVAP’s Five Year Strategic Plan, the Board of Directors and our Executive Team identified key areas necessary to strengthen our Association and ensure strategic readiness for the future challenges of healthcare.
The changes to the bylaws were carefully considered to ensure that AHVAP remains at the forefront of healthcare value analysis, fostering an environment that supports our members' professional growth and the advancement of our specialty.
I am pleased to inform you that the AHVAP membership has overwhelmingly voted in favor of accepting the proposed bylaws changes. As such, the bylaws changes are now accepted and effective immediately.
Here is a summary of the major key changes that impact our members:
- Membership Enhancements:
- New Membership categories added for AHVAP Fellows and stakeholders that support the healthcare value analysis process (Associate Membership).
- Transition from Affiliate membership to Industry Partner membership with voting privileges.
- Standardization of member benefits across all voting members to ensure consistency.
- The structure of the Nominating Committee has been adjusted to ensure representation of all major voting member types.
- Board Structure and Membership Support:
- Realignment of current “AHVAP Regions” to new “AHVAP Zones” to better serve our rapidly growing membership. This new structure will also allow more sharing of best practices across all geographies. More details on this exciting structure change will be forthcoming in the coming two weeks.
- Realignment of current Regional Directors on the Board of Directors to Industry Standard positions of Directors at Large. These Board Members will represent the entire AHVAP membership. The three current Regional Directors of the AHVAP Board of Directors will immediately transition to the new Directors at Large roles.
- Membership Support Structure:
- The new AHVAP Zone program will allow AHVAP members to attend all AHVAP virtual meetings, which will be hosted each month. These meetings will be led each month by a member of the AHVAP Board of Directors. All meetings will be recorded and made available on AHVAP University as part of your member benefits.
These changes reflect our commitment to providing unparalleled support to our members and enhancing the value we bring to the healthcare sector. We believe that these updates will strengthen our association and enable us to better serve you and the broader healthcare value analysis community.

We are excited about the direction in which AHVAP is heading and are confident that these changes will benefit our members, our specialty, and the healthcare industry at large. Your continued support and engagement are vital to our collective success, and we look forward to navigating the future of healthcare value analysis together.
