Message from AHVAP President-Elect

As fall begins and the trees display their glowing colors of autumn, I admit that I am still glowing from thinking about the amazing experience we had at our 2024 Annual Conference and Industry Partner Expo. As the Chair of this year's conference, I am thrilled to share some highlights from what turned out to be one of our most successful events to date. The energy, engagement, and collaboration we witnessed throughout the event have truly set a new standard for our organization.

This year’s conference brought together providers, industry partners, and thought leaders who participated in a dynamic mix of educational sessions, networking opportunities, exposition, and focus groups. Our sold-out expo displayed the latest innovations in healthcare, providing invaluable insights into emerging technologies and solutions.

One of the standout moments of the event was the poster presentations, which sparked engaging conversations including, but not limited to, financial fluency, data transparency, process improvement, and informed decision making. The participation and feedback from attendees during all our sessions underscored the importance of these discussions for shaping the future of healthcare.

We also received overwhelmingly positive feedback throughout the conference, and I am happy to say each session addressed the challenges and opportunities many of us face in our roles, and we are excited to see how the insights shared will lead to impactful change in our respective organizations.

I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our sponsors, industry partners, speakers, key notes, and attendees. Bravo to the 2024 Conference Committee including Karen Niven, Anita Mouroutsos, Gary Kauffman, Robin Lane, and Jodi Katz. Finally, I am also thankful for the team whose support and dedication made this event possible, and this includes Team AHVAP HQ, Team Encore, Team Marriott, Kyle Atkins, and Dr Hudson Garrett. The success of this year’s conference is a testament to the power of collaboration and shared commitment to excellence in healthcare.

Looking ahead, we are well on the way planning for next year’s event, and we invite you to share your ideas and feedback to help us continue to grow and improve. Together, we can build on this year’s success and create an even more impactful experience next year. The 2025 conference will be held on October 5th – 9th, 2025 at the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine, Texas. The 2026 conference will also be held at the Gaylord Texan on October 4th– 8th, 2026.
