AHVAP Launches New Position Statement on Safe, Ethical, and Responsible Use of Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare Value Analysis

I am excited to share with you an exciting new Position Statement that is now available for both AHVAP members and the general public: Safe, Ethical, and Responsible Use of Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare Value Analysis. This newly developed and released document was designed to help define the necessary parameters to ensure the highest level of safety for the use of artificial intelligence (AI). AI is a tremendously powerful and useful tool for healthcare value analysis professionals, leaders, and Industry Partners, but one that also comes with a significant professional responsibility to ensure safe and responsible usage. This Position Statement is a guide that can be leveraged by healthcare facilities, leaders, and Industry Partners. 

I would like to thank the efforts of our contributors from the AHVAP Education and Clinical Practice Committee and guest contributor, Kyle Atkins, EdS to this important position statement. This highly skilled group of experts from across our membership has rigorously worked on the creation and editing of this document over the last two months. This is a Position Statement that all AHVAP members and healthcare value analysis professionals should be proud of! This newest Position Statement is immediately available on the public AHVAP website for all healthcare professionals.
