Association of Healthcare Value Analysis Professionals Launches New Peer-Reviewed Publication: Journal of Healthcare Value Analysis
The Association of Healthcare Value Analysis Professionals is proud to announce the launch of the Journal of Healthcare Value Analysis (JHVA), an official peer-reviewed publication dedicated to advancing the field of value analysis in healthcare. The Journal of Healthcare Value Analysis will serve as a critical resource for healthcare professionals, researchers, and industry leaders who are committed to enhancing patient care, optimizing healthcare resources, and driving sustainable value within healthcare systems.
Published quarterly, JHVA will feature original research articles, case studies, reviews, and expert commentaries that address the challenges and innovations in healthcare value analysis. The journal’s mission is to provide evidence-based insights that inform best practices and support the role of value analysis professionals in making data-driven, cost-effective decisions to improve patient outcomes. The journal's first issue will also feature the recently published work from the AHVAP Executive Leaders Fellow's cohort.
"With the launch of JHVA, we are providing a dedicated platform for value analysis professionals to share knowledge, insights, and groundbreaking research," said Dr. Hudson Garrett Jr., Executive Director and Executive Vice President of AHVAP. "This journal represents a significant step forward in our mission to support and elevate the role of value analysis in healthcare, fostering a community focused on quality improvement and value-based care across the continuum."
As an official publication of AHVAP, JHVA will uphold rigorous peer-review standards, ensuring the quality and relevance of each published article. The journal invites submissions from healthcare practitioners, value analysis professionals, and researchers interested in contributing to the evolving specialty of value analysis. Publication will be available at no charge to all AHVAP members. Non-members may submit manuscripts for consideration for a nominal fee. The journal's new website will launch next week and will be linked to the existing AHVAP website. This latest addition to the AHVAP Portfolio of member benefits is yet another reflection of the continued investment in the healthcare value analysis specialty by the AHVAP Board of Directors and AHVAP Executive Staff in accordance with our Association's Five-Year Strategic Plan.
