President's Message

As a profession, we must be agile and able to rapidly respond to the frequently changing market dynamics. Healthcare is undergoing significant changes that impact clinical, operational, and financial metrics across our entire continuum of care. To grow, we must expand the Association and grow our profession into one that is externally recognized by key stakeholders such as healthcare executives, patient safety experts, and other clinical and operational leaders. The profession of healthcare value analysis must be clearly defined to healthcare executives, and over the next five years, the AHVAP Board of Directors and Executive Team will continue to advance our mission and vision based on a robust and forward-thinking strategic plan. Our goal is to provide AHVAP members with access to world-class, accredited clinical education, and professional development opportunities.

In the next calendar year, you will see the launch of a new industry-leading Fellows Advancement Program to recognize healthcare professionals and leaders that have made a lasting impact on the profession of value analysis. These Fellows will serve as mentors and advocates for the AHVAP brand, and also help to advance evidence-based practices in healthcare value analysis. We will also launch an Executive Leadership Development program that is designed to take your career to the next level and truly hone the healthcare executive skillset. We will also expand our professional relationships and collaborate with the American College of Healthcare Executives and the American Hospital Association to further raise the awareness of our profession to the C-Suite.

CVAHP™ Certification Offerings will also expand in 2023 to include new programmatic offerings to promote our CVAHP certification:

• Digital Badging to Promote Certification on social media channels, with employers, the public, and email signatures
• Industry-Specific Certificate Offering to help bridge the gap between clinicians and the medical industry profession
• Upgraded Continuing Education Offerings for CVAHPÔ Renewal that will all be included in your AHVAP membership
• Enhanced Certification Promotional Products to help you showcase your professional achievement

The future of our Association is bright, dynamic, and will drive the direction of the specialty of Healthcare Value Analysis. We need each of our members, partners, and collaborators with us on the AHVAP bus that is driving us into the future. Stay tuned for details on exciting new educational programming in 2023.
