Message from AVHAP Treasurer

Happy Spring, AHVAP members. As we put away our heavy coats and watch for the sprouting of spring flowers, it is a reminder of renewal. AHVAP is embarking on an exciting time with increased membership this month and for the year. We continue to grow the education opportunities with the most recent launch of the inaugural cohort of the AHVAP Executive Leaders Fellowship program, a testament to our commitment to professional growth and development. The micro-certifications have been well attended and offer essential, relevant subjects for value analysis professionals. Our strengthening partnership with the healthcare industry partners allows us to collaborate on new levels. 

As the membership continues to grow, the education opportunities also continue to grow, and this month was the highest financial month for education. The upcoming AHVAP Conference is 67% sold out, a clear indication of the high demand and the industry's recognition of the importance of value analysis. In my current position at Premier, I have the opportunity to connect with many different healthcare facilities, and the subject, first and foremost, is value analysis, how to achieve it, how to make it a best practice, and where to start. 

The strength of this organization comes from member commitment, and the financials below give a clear insight into the commitment. 

April Financial Overview:

• Membership: 846 Members
• Education: We now have over 250 AHVAP Members holding at least one of our credentials, and revenue of over $5,800 last month in our education programs alone
• Events: We are on track for our largest conference yet, with an estimated 400 in attendance.

Value Analysis is at the forefront of every healthcare facility's search for opportunities to strengthen cost, quality, and patient outcomes. It is an exciting time to be a member of AHVAP, and as we plan for the annual conference in September, we look forward to seeing all of you there. Registration is now open, so please consider making a trip to Orlando to gather with all your peers and learn what is ongoing and forthcoming.
