Ken Tyler Receives Lifetime Achievement Award

Ken Tyler, HRLLD, CFM, CPCM, FAC 3, VP Government Operations, Encompass LLC was presented with the VA Lifetime Achievement Award at the VA National Environmental Programs Service Conference.

Tyler, who is a long-time member of ALM and former Board member, received the award for his leadership and professionalism in the modernization and construction of VA laundries across the U.S. He was also very active in managing the VA Laundry Consolidation Program, in which the VA consolidated 73 existing facilities to 41.

"I am very honored and surprised to receive the VA award; there were so many others responsible for supporting the VA laundry programs," said Tyler. "Many thanks to ALM for continuing to educate and inform members of our industry. Being a member of the ALM Board of Directors for nine years was a true honor, and I'm very glad I was able to help support ALM programs. I will always be there for ALM."

Tyler has spent more than three decades caring for and serving veterans. He is a graduate of the VA Leadership Program, a recipient of three Hammer Awards from the Vice President of the United States, three Scissor Awards from the Secretary of Veterans Affairs, and two Department of Energy Conservation Awards.
