ALM Member Benefit of the Month: Resource Library

When researching a new product, troubleshooting a challenge, or exploring a new idea, don’t you wish you could go to a single resource to find information, education, data, and recommendations? In our new series, we will explore ALM member benefits each month. This month’s featured benefit is the ALM Resource Library, which is designed to meet all your professional needs, and more!

Found on ALM’s website, the resource library is a robust search engine which allows you to search whatever ails you. For example, search “stains,” and you will have results including previously aired webinars, articles, profiles of vendor members whose product lines aligns with your search, press releases about products or services that address staining, and related news, posts, or responses in ALM forums.

The Resource Library is also a great starting point if you’re looking for continuing education opportunities, or to help others in your company with industry knowledge. Simply search “contact hours” or “webinars” and you can pull up recordings of sessions to enlighten you and your team and earn contact hours for doing it.

The beauty of the Resource Library is it is community driven, so not only can you come to seek out information, but we also invite you to share information! Posting on the member forums will not only get your questions out to the vast community of members (there are no new problems – only new solutions!) but their responses will also be available in the library for those who stumble into the same obstacle down the road. Do you have other tools, documents, or tips that you’d like to share? Things like sample job descriptions, QAPI initiatives, committee agendas, troubleshooting guidelines, and more can be added to the library to benefit everyone. Create a forum post to share knowledge, or you may send any information and attachments to Nicole Morris at nmorris@ALMnet.org.

Lastly, a word to our vendor members. The key to appearing in the search engine and highlighting the solutions you bring to the table is to ensure your online member profile is robust and accurate. You can update your profile at any time by logging into your master company account (if you need help, we’re here!) Also, by sending your Vendor Showcase pieces to Nicole (reminders are sent monthly in the “Share Your News” emails), you ensure those new products and services also appear in the results. The more information you provide, the better the outcome will be.

ALM’s Resource Library is a benefit of membership – meaning it doesn’t cost anything for you to access it. However, it is only available by logging into our website. If you haven’t logged in lately and need assistance, you may reset your password or contact our office for assistance.

Use it, share it, add to it, and rely on it. The ALM Resource Library is there to make things easier, and we could all use a little of that, couldn’t we?
