Encompass Group, LLC, Receives Innovative Technology Designation from Vizient for Evolution™ Patient Apparel for Behavioral Health Patients

McDonough, GA–Encompass Group, LLC, announced its Evolution™ patient apparel designed to address the special needs of behavioral health patients has received a 2017 Innovative Technology designation from Vizient, Inc., the largest member-driven health care performance improvement company in the country. The designation was based on direct feedback from hospital experts who interacted with Evolution™ patient apparel at the Vizient Innovative Technology Exchange in Denver on Sept. 14, 2017.

“We are honored to receive this prestigious designation from Vizient, Inc. for the newest addition to the Evolution product line,” said Kelley Terrell, Marketing Director, Techstyles Nonwoven Product Lines. “The new Evolution™ Pajamas focus on comfort and safety for the behavioral health patient population. Encompass patient apparel provides a safe, comfortable and convenient alternative to more expensive reusable products in high-volume usage and high-loss treatment areas.”

Evolution™ pajamas address the Triple Aim in healthcare: Population Health – visual identification of at-risk populations without compromising privacy. Cost per Capita – cost-effective alternative to reusable products in high volume/high loss treatment areas. Patient Experience – the garments’ material provides superior softness and a level of comfort that is comparable to traditional fabrics.

Evolution pajamas are available in forest green to quickly identify at-risk patient populations; the lightweight elastic waist securely holds pants in position; to eliminate areas for concealed objects, there are no pockets; and the clean, no-binding edge design prevents binding from being used for self-harm. Evolution pajamas are available in adult sizes, X-small to 3X large, and pediatric sizes, small (2-4 years), medium (6-8 years), and large (10-12 years).

“Hospitals and providers are looking for innovations that offer unique and cumulative benefit over other products available on the market today. The feedback on Evolution Patient Apparel by attendees at our Innovative Technology Exchange was strongly in favor of assigning this technology an Innovative Technology designation. Congratulations to Encompass Group on receiving this status,” said Debbie Archer, director of procurement and Vizient Innovative Technology Program lead.

Vizient represents a diverse membership base that includes academic medical centers, pediatric facilities, community hospitals, integrated health delivery networks and non-acute health care providers and represents more than $100 billion in annual purchasing volume. Through its Innovative Technology Program, Vizient works with member-led councils and task forces to review potentially innovative products.
