Leonard Automatics is pleased to announce the promotion of Mark Farnsworth to the position of Plant Manager.

Mark has spent the last two years as the lead Project Manager in charge of fully managing customer orders at Leonard Automatics. This role required him to work very closely with the Leonard sales team and their customer base. The experience allowed Mark to be involved with the entire life-cycle of equipment builds at Leonard; from the initial sales order, to purchasing, engineering, to production, shipping, installation, and fulfillment of the project.

“The hands-on knowledge that Mark gained during his time as Project Manager provided him with the tools and experience to start his new role as our Plant Manager and we are excited to have him on our team!” says Scott Abernethy, General Manager.

Mark spent 20 years as Chief Engineer with Seneca Foods in Rochester Minnesota running unlimited horsepower boilers, water feed systems, compressors…a job that was 24/7. Prior to that, Mark was in the U.S. Navy for six years working as a Gas Turbine Specialist. “Mark brings a continuous improvement mentality, he is process driven, has excellent attention to detail, and possesses the interpersonal skills to manage a diverse workforce” says Greg Watson, President. Mark is married and enjoys the outdoors, trout fishing, and most of all his six children and four grandchildren.
