In Memory of David Graumlich

David Lee Graumlich passed away on April 5, 2018. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to many.

David spent 33 years in the textile industry, most recently as the general manager for Goodwill Laundry and Linens in Miami, Florida, a laundry plant capable of producing 32 million pounds annually.

David was able to see his efforts over the last five years come to fruition by leaving a plant filled with employees that were happily employed by Goodwill. As you walk through the plant, you are greeted with a smile from the employees who truly loved David. David’s compassionate leadership created the positive and cohesive culture in the plant. David’s tireless efforts have ensured plant operations fund the Goodwill mission, which was David’s ultimate objective.

“David was truly a person you don’t run into very often in your life,” said Jeffrey White, MBA, Senior Management Consultant with Evergreen Management Solutions.

David’s wife, Kathy Hirsh, said, “He was a very giving person and cared deeply for his family and extended family. He was happiest when riding his Harley and visiting with his grandkids.”

In addition to Kathy, David is survived by his son Jason Graumlich (Jessi Gunter), daughter Jessica Graumlich Haynes (Felix), his brother James Graumlich (Jeri), and sisters Donna Richards (Mark) and Carol Drew (Doug). Also many, many cousins, nephews, nieces, and grandchildren.
