Braun Announces Bortoloni, Burke and Welsh Promoted

J.B. Werner, CEO and Chairman of the Board for G.A. Braun, announced that Dave Clark (top left), V.P. After Market Operations/Customer Service has retired from Braun after 24 years of dedicated service. Throughout his career with Braun Dave successfully led his team of field service technicians, service support help desk and replacement parts programs to the highest levels in the industry. Dave was also instrumental in the development of Braun’s successful Certified Remanufactured Equipment Program. 

Dave’s successor, Sandro Bortoloni (top right), has been promoted to the position of Director of After Market Operations. Sandro joined G. A. Braun in 1996. Through the years due to his hard work and dedication, Sandro was promoted to many positions with his last being Field Service Manager. Sandro holds a Bachelor of Science in Operations Management and obtained a Six Sigma Black Belt Certification as well as many other certifications.

“We wish Dave much well-deserved relaxation and time with his family as he embarks on the next chapter of his life and thank him for 24 years of dedication to team Braun. We also congratulate Sandro on his promotion and are extremely confident that with his leadership he will complement our strategic business pursuits well into the future,” stated Werner.


Gary Ostrum, Executive Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing, announced the promotion of Ray Burke (bottom left) to Vice President of Sales, U.S. and Canada.

Ray has been in the laundry industry for 42 years and is actively involved in several laundry industry associations. For the past 15 years Burke held the position of West Coast Regional Sales Manager. Ray’s dedication to the industry, as well as his vast knowledge of plant operations and strategic planning, will enhance Braun's unparalleled customer support in the U.S. and Canadian markets.

“Ray is a respected industry veteran and has a strong background in laundry facility management, strategic sales planning and business analysis. In his new role, we are confident Ray will help to further strengthen our commitment to our U.S. and Canadian client base by providing exceptional customer support,” states Ostrum.


J.B. Werner also announced the promotion of David Welsh (bottom right), to President of G. A. Braun. David Welsh succeeds Rick Rudmann who will remain on as a strategic advisor.

For the past 18 years David held the position of Director of Operations, responsible for managing Braun’s purchasing, assembly, fabrication, quality, logistics, safety, plant maintenance, and training. Welsh holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and has over 34 years of experience in manufacturing environments.
