Richmond, Ky., July 17, 2023 — Chris Christie, CLLM, MHLM, System Linen Manager at Ascension Southeast Michigan Community Health, has been appointed by the Association for Linen Management (ALM) Board President Jim Mangini, RLLD, to fill the open Director position on ALM’s Board of Directors. Christie will hold the post through June 2026.
"Chris Christie has long been an asset to ALM, on both the local and national levels,” said Jim Mangini, Board President. "He is the embodiment of what makes ALM a great association. The level of expertise he has and shares with our membership ensures this is very good news for all of us at ALM.”
Christie joined the industry in 1988, the last 23 years of which has been in his current position with Ascension. He’s been a member of ALM since 1997 and served the last six years as the president of the Michigan ALM (MALM) chapter. Christie earned his Certified Laundry & Linen Manager (CLLM) Certification in 2002 and was one of the first participants and graduates of ALM’s newest certification, the Mastery of Healthcare Linen Management (MHLM).
"For 33 years, ALM has helped me to grow professionally and personally through educational opportunities and networking,” said Christie. "It is now my turn to give back to this great organization. I am thrilled to be part of the ALM Board."
