Scholarship Applications for 2024 Laundry & Linen College Now Being Accepted

Continuous education and training are a necessity in our industry. It’s how we ensure aspiring leaders are equipped to carry the industry into the future. ALM’s Laundry and Linen College has been the premier resource for continuing education as it provides opportunities to learn more about laundry performance, linen distribution, utilization, productivity, management, and safety.

We know training can get expensive and budgets are tight, so ALM has partnered with our generous members and created a scholarship fund. The scholarship is available to ALM members actively involved in laundry operations and linen management functions. The scholarship covers the cost of tuition to one of the college sessions. Recipients must be a current ALM member and are selected based on financial and educational needs, as well as their active involvement in the industry.

We will conduct two college sessions in 2024. In session one, May 13-17 students will learn about textile care services through topics like textile selection, budgeting, linen and pack room management. The school is back in session from November 18-22, when students will learn all about laundry processing and operations with topics like equipment selection, maintenance and safety, washroom chemistry and managing productivity.

The College is an interactive and hands-on experience. Students will participate in small groups to complete projects for each session that simulate on-the-job experiences, challenging the groups to apply concepts learned throughout the week. With our optimal class size students gain lifelong connections with fellow students and instructors. The college is the ideal training ground for those who wish to perform at a higher level, gain an in-depth understanding of laundry and linen operations.  The curriculum of the program aligns with the RLLD certification, thereby preparing candidates to achieve this distinction which identifies leaders throughout the industry.
