The Department of Labor (DOL) has proposed to raise the minimum salary threshold required to qualify for the Fair Labor Standards Act (FSLA) overtime eligibility exemption from $455 a week ($23,660 a year) to an estimate $970 a week ($50,440 a year). This is much higher than any individual state requirement. A 60-day period ending September 4, 2015 is provided for comment.

An Accreditation Workshop will be held on Friday, August 7, 2015 from 2 to 4 p.m. (one day prior to the start of AMCs Engaged!). This interactive workshop will provide attendees with insight into key areas of AMC operations management. The session will highlight best practices that will enable accredited AMCs to stay compliant with the newly revised standards. Core topics include staff training/professional development; social media and intellectual property policies; client performance reviews, and client contract disclosures.
