At our recent annual meeting in Anaheim, we were listening to presenters and panelists who were talking about our businesses and what we do as AMCs for our clients and for the association management community as a whole. AMCs serve an important function and provide a valuable service. However, are our companies that much different from one another? We probably all like to think that we provide a unique service, very different from our competitors. If that is in fact true, then what is also true is that we’ll need to work twice as hard in the coming years to maintain that uniqueness.
