You’re invited to the 2025 Utility Safety Conference on April 14-15, 2025, at the JW Marriott ICE District in Edmonton. Join over 200 stakeholders in Breaking the Ice, Building a Stronger Community.
In partnership with USP’s Training Standards Committee, Ground Disturbance 101, Ground Disturbance 201, and Locating 101 will be offered to attendees at a reduced rate on April 14. Upon completing the course, you will receive an industry-recognized certificate of completion. Training is followed by the opening reception with industry vendors, and an awards banquet recognizing USP’s 2024 Excavator of the Year, Locator of the Year, and Member of the Year winners.
Register before Jan. 17, 2025, to receive an early bird discount. Early bird registrants will be entered into a draw to win two tickets to see the Oilers versus the Kings on April 14, 2025! The JW Marriott ICE District is connected to Rogers Place, so it’s the perfect time to take in an Oilers game and a great way to wrap up the first day of the conference.
April 15 includes USP’s AGM, committee meetings, concurrent educational sessions, a tradeshow, and a plenary address. Educational sessions will highlight the newest innovations, technologies and experiences in safety and damage prevention. Do you have a topic to share? Submit your presentation abstract by Dec. 31, 2024, and become a conference speaker!
This year’s plenary speaker is Big Daddy Tazz, a comedian and mental health advocate known as the "Bi-Polar Buddha." Tazz received the following testimonial from one of his previous keynote speeches: "I had front row seats to one of the most necessary keynotes I've seen in my life for your session at the Safety Seminar today. Things just clicked. It was exactly what I needed to hear. It also helped that you were funny as all hell. You've given me some firepower to use in my battles on those dark days, and for that I'm grateful." You don’t want to miss it!
Event details and registration links can be found on USP’s website. We look forward to seeing you there!
