AMF Data |
Buried energy and utility owners that have registered the location of their underground infrastructure with Alberta One-Call Corporation were recently provided with their 2022 Annual Member Fees (AMF) payable in 2022. The AMF will provide Alberta One-Call (AOC) with a more stable revenue stream to ensure budgeted operations expenses are covered for the year.
The AMF is based on a risk and consequence matrix researched and created by Det Norske Veritas (DNV). The matrix, combined with AOC’s historical notification fee data, allowed AOC to create a risk score relative to the member categories of its 850-plus members — some with multiple facility types (example: municipalities), resulting in 1,083 individual member facilities.
This change will have no impact whatsoever for the person requesting a locate of buried utilities in the vicinity of their digging project. You will continue to be provided with the same free-to-you reliable service that we’ve delivered for 38 years. For our members, you will now know precisely what your annual fee to AOC will be; and, you can choose to pay quarterly in four equal payments or in one lump sum. And when you pay your entire invoice before Feb. 28, 2022, you will receive a 2% rebate.
If you have a question about your AMF, please email us at billing@albertaonecall.com and put “AMF Inquiry” in the subject line.
