Save the date: April 27, 2022 – Contractor Dig Safe Breakfast in Lloydminster
The last two years have brought many changes. Safety has been at the top of everyone’s mind as we collectively navigated new public health measures and evolving rules. Through it all, the importance of working safely near utilities and pipelines remained unchanged, but the methods used to share information and raise awareness shifted to the online platforms we have all become familiar with. Now, as health measures and restrictions begin to relax, we are looking forward to the time when we can step away from our computer screens and once again meet face to face.
The Education and Public Awareness Committee, in partnership with the Saskatchewan Common Ground Alliance, is supporting Astec Safety in hosting a Contractor Dig Safe Breakfast in Lloydminster this Spring. The Saskatchewan Contractor Dig Safe Breakfast program includes 21 industry sponsors that support our goal of preventing unnecessary damages and injuries due to unsafe digging practices.
This event will allow safety partners to come together over a cup of coffee and a hot breakfast and learn about current damage prevention initiatives and practices when working near utilities and pipelines. As the snow melts and the construction season ramps up, we can all be reminded of the best practices used to keep ourselves and the people around us safe. After all, April is Dig Safe Month.
More information about the April 27, 2022 event will be shared in the upcoming weeks. Watch your inbox, visit the SCGA website and follow Utility Safety Partners on Twitter to learn more. We hope to see you there!
