Meet our Calgary Ambassador
Are you planning excavation projects this year? Maybe a new fence? A large commercial project? For the lucky ones, a pool maybe? Not sure what you need to do? Well good news! In June 2022, Utility Safety Partners welcomed a new Safety Ambassador to the Calgary region: Mitch Mielnichuk. Mitch joins our team with over 10 years of experience in construction safety. He has successfully led multiple projects and cultivated a positive health and safety culture throughout the construction sites he has worked on. His passion for sharing knowledge and helping protect both people and infrastructure is a perfect fit for the Safety Ambassador role.
Mitch joins our team of Safety Ambassadors in other regions of the province and will provide the Calgary area with extensive knowledge on the dos and don’ts of ground disturbance. Homeowners, contractors, and facility owners alike can all benefit from Mitch’s experience in the field.
You may have already seen Mitch visiting equipment rental centers, worksites, utility operators, builders, and more. You may see him driving through your neighbourhood in his bright Utility Safety Partners truck. Flag him down! Call him over! He is more than happy to meet with you and share information about Where’s the Line, Click Before You Dig, and utility safety in general. Armed with handouts, valuable information, and additional resources, Mitch can answer any questions you may have about the damage prevention process. Keeping ourselves and our communities protected is everyone’s responsibility, but Mitch is available to help with the process.
Follow Mitch on Twitter and Instagram, @digsafeyyc, for safety messages and photos from around Calgary. Reach out to us at info@utilitysafety.com to book a meeting or a presentation for your team.
