The Annual Canadian Common Ground Alliance (CCGA) Damage Prevention Symposium is a signature event for the CCGA, attracting damage prevention management professionals and decision makers from across Canada, including stakeholder groups such as municipalities, excavator contractors, oil and gas, telecommunications, electrical transmission/distribution, water and sewer, telecom, emergency management, surveyors, regulators, trenchless industries, notification centre members, locate service providers and administrators, engineers, insurance, risk management operations, and others who support safety and damage prevention.
The Symposium is a networking opportunity where industry stakeholders come together to discuss common challenges, new innovations, and to share insights. Discussions at this event often plant the initial seeds of new initiatives and leave attendees with a renewed sense of purpose and enthusiasm for continuous improvement. The format for the conference consists of three days of professional development, workshops, panel presentations, networking events, along with an exhibitor tradeshow.
The CCGA is currently accepting submissions from presenters who want to participate in the 2024 event. To be considered, please complete the submission process and be sure to include all pertinent details. Submissions will be open until Friday, April 26, 2024. Those that are accepted will be contacted by Friday, May 31, 2024, to confirm participation on the program.
CCGA is requesting papers for the following topics, but encourages papers on any topic relevant to damage prevention in your industry:
I encourage all USP members and safety partners to save the date and plan to attend the 2024 Symposium, being held at the Delta Hotel Regina Nov. 4 to 6. The symposium is an excellent growth and learning opportunity for your team.
