By Anuja Miner, AATA Membership Director This time of year always has me reflecting on our association and how much we’ve accomplished this year. I’m so thankful for members like you who truly give meaning to the work I do. Together this past year, more than 1,400 art therapists and students convened for AATA2024 in Pittsburgh and then virtually; advanced art therapy licensure in Virginia and Nebraska; welcomed Art Therapy Barbie; and celebrated our amazing members, including our Member Art Exhibitors and Authors. None of this could have happened without your support as members. Time and again, you show up for our community and each other, whether it’s by volunteering to present at our learning opportunities or participating in a Committee — or simply by answering other members’ questions in MyAATA. Thank you for being an AATA Member! If your membership is expiring soon— in the coming weeks or even months — please renew by Dec. 15. You’ll be entered in a raffle to win one of several fun prizes: Apple AirPods, Art Therapy Barbies, courses on AATA’s Online Learning Academy, printed four-issue editions of the Art Therapy Journal, and more! Renew by logging in to your MyAATA profile and click the “renew” button on the right. I’m looking forward to seeing what’s next for the art therapy profession, and to help amplify the work you do for your clients and communities.
