Q: I recently updated my resume and started a LinkedIn account. I've been doing security work (protective services) for over 12 years. What direction can I use my experience for career advancement? Also, would joining an organization like this be beneficial for someone in my position looking to network and find out about other areas of security?

Q: I am a defense intelligence and security officer with a total of 20 years in the Army. I would like to change jobs and apply for a security officer role, preferably to start a new career rather than just a new position. I would appreciate it if you could describe the "usual" path for doing so and what your suggestions are for certifications, networking, how to better find a job, etc.
