Call for Board Members
BCEA is currently accepting nomination applications for a two-year term position on the Board of Directors.  Now is the time to take charge and raise your game! Supporting BCEA programming and serving on the board provides incredible opportunities to expand your network, gain new skills, and enhance your career. 

Nominate yourself or another member you know would be a perfect fit. The final day to submit a nomination is June 28, 2024. See the link below for the application and more information.
Scholarship Applications – Due June 30
Do you know a student who could use help with their finances for post-secondary? Let them know that BCEA's scholarship and bursary applications are due by June 30 to be considered for this year's awards.

Betty Lou Education Relief Fund applications are due Oct. 31. 

All children and grandchildren of BCEA Members, as well as members themselves, are eligible to apply. Find out more and download the application at the link below.
Volunteer With Us! – July 8
The Women's Network is gathering a group to volunteer at the Greater Vancouver Food Bank (one of our speakers from THRIVE this year!) on July 8 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. They will be packing lunches at the Burnaby warehouse on 8345 Winston St. We still have a few spots available for volunteers. If you are interested, please contact beth@bcea.bc.ca before June 14.

Morgan Creek Golf Tournament – July 16
BCEA's golf tournaments are back this summer. Our next tournament is July 16 at Morgan Creek in Surrey, with a shotgun start at 1:30 p.m.

This year there will be a chance to win a $1500 cash prize at this tournament! Your ticket cost includes a lunch voucher, golf cart, golf fee, and an awards dinner.

Crown Isle Golf Tournament – Sept. 10
The BC Electrical Association, along with the Island committee, will hold a North Island golf tournament on Tuesday, Sept. 10. Tee times start at 11:00 a.m. and continue until 1:30 p.m. Only 60 golfers can take part in this tournament.

Following your round, you will have the opportunity to network with your peers at the awards dinner. Golf fees are $250 for members and $350 for non-members and include a golf cart and dinner.

Lower Mainland Trade Show – Oct. 22
BCEA is continuing to bring back our trade shows this year! Our next show will be at the Show Theatre at Great Canadian Casino Vancouver on Tuesday Oct. 22 from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. There will be an educational seminar with Joel Feenstra at 11:00 a.m. on the topic of the changes and updates to the 2024 Electrical code from CSA.

Exhibitors can purchase a 10x10 booth with pipe, drape, and power included at the link below. Booths are $975 for members and $1200 for non-members.

Registration for our online Basic Electricity Course is now live.
