Annual General Meeting – July 24
Make sure your voice is heard! As a member of the BCEA, we require your attendance at our Annual General Meeting (AGM) on July 24 at 12:00 p.m. on Zoom. Holding an AGM is a requirement as a non-profit association in BC. 

If the primary contact for your company is unable to attend, please fill out the proxy form which can be downloaded at the link below and sent to beth@bcea.bc.ca.
Crown Isle Golf Tournament – Sept. 10
The BC Electrical Association, along with the Island committee, will hold a North Island golf tournament on Tuesday, Sept. 10. Tee times start at 11:00 a.m. and continue until 1:30 p.m. Only 60 golfers can take part in this tournament, so get your tickets quickly!

Following your round, you will have the opportunity to network with your peers at the awards dinner. Golf fees are $250 for members and $350 for non-members and include a golf cart and dinner.

Nine & Dine Golf Tournament – Sept. 17
Join us for a friendly 9-hole golf tournament put on by the BCEA Women's and AMP networks! The event will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2024.

Tee times start at 1:00 p.m., and there will be a BBQ dinner and reception to follow. All skill levels welcome!
Lower Mainland Trade Show – Oct. 22
BCEA is continuing to bring back our trade shows this year! Our next show will be at the Show Theatre at Great Canadian Casino Vancouver on Tuesday, Oct. 22 from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. There will be an educational seminar with Joel Feenstra at 11:00 a.m. on the topic of the changes and updates to the 2024 Electrical code from CSA.

Exhibitors can purchase a 10x10 booth with pipe, drape, and power included at the link below. Booths are $975 for members and $1,200 for non-members.

Agreement-in-Principle Reached to Modernize Columbia River Treaty
Following years of negotiations between Canada and the U.S, an agreement-in-principle to modernize the Columbia River Treaty is being heralded as a major milestone. The river generates almost half of B.C.'s total hydroelectric power and over 40% of that in the U.S.

New Request for Proposals and Tools to Deploy Thousands More EV Chargers Across Canada
A new request for proposals (RFP) under the Zero Emission Vehicle Infrastructure Program (ZEVIP) will support the deployment of EV chargers, including fast chargers, in public places across Canada such as highways and public lots, as well as chargers at private locations, including multi-unit residential buildings, workplaces and where on-road vehicle fleets are serviced.
