The BC Electrical Association proudly announces the appointment of Will Davis as its new President and CEO, effective October 1, 2024. With a diverse background as a small business owner, broadcaster, artist, and not-for-profit executive, Will Davis brings a wealth of experience and a unique perspective to lead BCEA towards continued growth and success. “After meeting Will I knew the BCEA would be in great hands. His experience in not-for-profit strategic planning and his belief in community impact aligns with the BCEA mission, vision, values and is a great fit for the future direction of the association” says Barbette Igonia. Will and Barbette will be working together until the BCEA’s Annual Awards Luncheon on November 29, 2024 which is when Barbette retires from her 30 year career with the BCEA. Annual Holiday Awards & Luncheon - November 29th
Registration is now live for our annual holiday awards and luncheon on Friday, November 29th at 11am at the Delta Hotel, Burnaby. Join your colleagues as we celebrate the holiday season, our BCEA award winners, and induct our new alumni at this event. Tickets are $105/ea for members and $150/ea for non-members. You can also purchase a table of 8 seats for $800.

Basic Electricity Course – Online
Registration for our online Basic Electricity Course is now live. This course is a great primer for anyone new to the industry or who wants a refresher on the more basic aspects of the supply chain industry. The cost is $299 GST for members and $399 GST for non-members. Upon registration, you can complete the course at your own pace.

ECABC Provides Platform Recommendations to BC Political Parties
Ahead of the October 19, 2024 provincial election in British Columbia, the Electrical Contractors Association of British Columbia has offered each of BC's major political parties three platform policy recommendations: implementing prompt payment legislation, increasing capital and operating funding to support electrical apprentices, and naming a Minister responsible for construction in their Cabinet.
