Thank You for Supporting the Builders Scholarship Foundation at Last Month's Golf Outing

We couldn't have ordered better weather for the attendees at the July 15th Builders Scholarship Foundation Golf Outing, which was generously sponsored by the Union Carpenters & Contractors. Your support of this worthwhile scholarship program directly benefits the Chicago area commercial construction industry. This year's event netted over $36,000 for future well-deserving college students looking to make a difference in our industry.

After fueling up at the BBQ lunch participants enjoyed a relaxing round of golf featuring numerous entertaining games spread throughout the course. Our first-place foursome consisted of The Hill Group guests Tim Conway, Bob Hill, Brian Staunton and Kevin Sullivan. Thorne Associates' foursome of Tim Blomeke, Kim Carpenter, Pete Stearney and Dana Thorne finished a close second.

Following a beautiful day on the green, attendees caught up with colleagues during the delicious dinner reception...and eagerly awaited their chance to win one of the fabulous raffle prizes. Brandon Weber, a current Illinois State student and member of our most recent scholarship recipient class, addressed the audience about how the positive impact the scholarship program has had as he pursues an engineering career in the industry.
