Aaron Janik will begin his career as Executive Director of the Mid-America Regional Bargaining Association (MARBA) on February 16th. He received a Bachelor’s Degree with a Major in History from Northern Illinois University in 2000 and his Juris Doctor from The John Marshall Law School in 2008. During law school he worked in the Northern Illinois University Department of Athletics as an intern in the Compliance Department. While in law school he was elected to represent his graduating section in the Student Bar Association. Also during law school, and upon graduating in 2008, he worked for the Chicago law firm of Poltrock & Poltrock. The firm counted among its clients the Chicago Teachers Union and the City Colleges of Chicago Teachers Union. Since 2011 he has worked as In House Counsel for the Illinois Fraternal Order of Police Labor Council. He is married to Molly Janik and has three children, Luke, Madison, and William. He volunteers his free time coaching his son’s baseball team and sitting on his local school board. He is an active participant in several bar associations, including the American Bar Association and Chicago Bar Association.
