Safety Stand Down is just one week away! Make sure that your company joins our members already registered to show their commitment to safety. Last year, 7,000 construction industry personnel participated across 400 jobsites, and we look forward to breaking that record during our first year as the merged Chicagoland AGC. Participation is a great way to kick off the busy summer season, as the Stand Down allows you to demonstrate your commitment to the safety and well-being of your workforce. Each year the CAGC, in conjunction with the Safety Committee, creates and provides participating companies with an easy-to-implement curriculum covering the year's safety topic, and member companies cease work for approximately 30 minutes to give a training on that topic. This year's topic is worker self-empowerment regarding safety. Please register your commitment to participate via this link and indicate the person responsible for overall coordination (or forward this email to your safety director to complete). We will follow up with that individual to ensure a seamless and successful Stand Down Week. Our very first Chicagoland AGC Spring Summit is just over two weeks away. Join us on Wednesday, May 16 at Maggiano's in Oak Brook. Registration will begin at 11:30, with the luncheon and program starting at noon. The event will feature a presentation on the importance of company culture in the construction industry, honor this year’s Safety Award winners, and provide an opportunity to network with other industry professionals. Registration and sponsorship information for our June 27th Scholarship Foundation Golf Outing is now live! The Chicagoland Construction Scholarship Foundation awards renewable scholarships to qualified Chicagoland-area college students earning a construction-focused degree. The Foundation has awarded over $300,000 in scholarships to date and plays an integral role in supporting the future workforce. This year's 3rd Annual PAC Fundraiser wil be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 10 at the River Forest Country Club.
