As 2017 comes to a close, we want to thank you for your membership with the Builders Association. Since 1906, we have proudly served as the leading trade association for the Chicago commercial construction industry. We look forward to continuing that legacy through the merged Chicagoland AGC in 2018. From all of us at the Builders Association, we wish you a safe and happy holiday season!

Upcoming Events
Builders Connect 2017 will take place tomorrow, Wednesday, December 6, from 12-2:30 p.m. at the Drake. The Association will gather to celebrate a strong construction season, honor Community Builder recipients Sterling Bay and Alderman Walter Burnett, Jr., and commend those celebrating milestone membership anniversaries. A special thanks to all those who are sponsoring the event!

Construction employment increased in 243 out of 358 metro areas between October 2016 and October 2017, declined in 59 and stagnated in 56, according to a new analysis of federal employment data released today by the Associated General Contractors of America. Association officials said the best way to ensure metro areas continue to add construction jobs is to treat small and medium-sized employers more fairly and include new infrastructure funding as part of federal tax reform.
