Never Forgetting, Always Looking Forward

All the details for Remembrance & Renewal, our 10th anniversary commemoration of 9/11, set for Wednesday, Sept. 14 at Battery Gardens in Lower Manhattan, are now in place, with just a few additions to the program since our last issue of BOMAFACTS.

• Ms. Allison Testone of SL Green Realty Corp., Property Manager of 600 Lexington Avenue, will be singing the national anthem for us. Prior to her career in real estate, Allison was a professionally trained mezzo soprano and has won a number of competitions/juries performing both classical and jazz standards.

• Through the assistance of photography taken by personnel from the buildings surrounding Ground Zero, including Brookfield Office Properties, Silverstein Properties and most notably the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, we have been able to construct a time-lapse view of construction under way at the site. This journey through the past decade will be on-screen at the opening of the program.
