New Effective Date for the 2014 NYC Construction Codes

 On Sept. 30, Mayor DeBlasio signed into law Local Law 52/2014 (Intro 474) that changed the effective date of the 2014 Construction Code from Oct. 1 of this year, to Dec. 31st.
The city pursued this extension to allow additional time for design professionals to prepare plans and specifications in compliance with the new provisions.
