Do you want to be recognized for the way your team pulls together to achieve management excellence? Does ownership want a distinct advantage when it comes to attracting the best tenants? Isn't it time to tell the competition you’re one of New York’s best?

Then nominate your building and colleagues for the highest honor in the field of commercial real estate ownership and management—the BOMA/NY Pinnacle—using the Nomination Form here. Nominations are due May 29 at the BOMA/NY headquarters.

The Pinnacle Award honors management expertise, innovation and excellence. It’s the local NYC level of the BOMA International TOBY (The Outstanding Building of the Year Award), the official "Seal of Approval" that says you manage your asset to the highest of international standards.

As a result, it’s a way to up your game like no other. Former Pinnacle winner and Committee Chair Angelo Grima says, "The submission process is comprehensive and as a result, drives you to raise your own bar. It will give you a better building, a better team, and you’ll be a better manager." Leasing loves it—your building is forever known as a winner, giving it a major leg up in the competitive NYC marketplace.

Which Award is Right For You?

The Pinnacle is given in these building categories: Historical, Government, New Construction, Renovated, Corporate Facility (a tenant headquarters must occupy at least 50 percent of the building), Operating (four size categories) and the Earth Award, which recognizes sustainability programs and results.

Awards are also given for Manager of the Year in two experience categories and for the Association’s Outstanding Local Member of the Year. The Muller Award is given as appropriate for outstanding developments or individuals demonstrating vision for New York. Building submissions incorporate a written document and a building tour/presentation, with mentoring and advice available from the Committee chairs for each category. The "people" awards combine an interview with written materials.

Nominations Due May 29

Anyone in real estate can nominate a building or individual using the Nomination Form here -- just make sure you do so by May 29. If you have questions about eligibility, submission details or more, please contact BOMA/NY’s Director of Membership and Special Events, Ami Shah, at ami@bomany.com or 212-239-3662.
