Opportunities to Raise Your Own Bar

I have only one thing to say about BOMA/NY’s recent Energy Action Day—it
was a smashing success! Attendance numbers were terrific, but the
energy level in the room and the bandwidth of panelists set the bar
higher than ever for this event. I've never seen such a large group
linger so long to talk at the end of a seminar, which is testament to
the thoughtfulness and planning of a spectacular team!
If you have
not been to a BOMA/NY seminar lately, then you are missing out on a
prime opportunity to raise your own bar. The talent of the presenters,
as well as the depth and quality of information they provide, cannot be
found anywhere else in real estate today. That is why I urge you without
reservation to sign up for our May 14 seminar, Survive, Communicate,
Assist: A Building Staff’s Mantra During an Active Shooter Incident.
This seminar takes a unique perspective you won’t find anywhere else,
and you can get the full details and registration link in our Newsmakers story below.
Speaking of raising the bar, this issue of BOMAfacts is
filled with stories on how to achieve excellence, including an in-depth
look at the long-term, multiple benefits of BOMA360, previews of the
BUILDINGS NY expo and June BOMA International conference, and in our
"Next Generations" Q&A with the 2015 Pinnacle Winner for Manager of
the Year (3-10 years of experience), a look at the value of "being
fearless" when setting and achieving your goals. There’s content in
every column and links that take you to registration platforms, Con
Edison’s dollar-saving Demand Response Program, and the ultimate test of
your management acumen—the nomination forms for Pinnacle Awards, our
industry’s most prestigious award.
All our seminars and events
depend on the work of our volunteers, and so in the spirit of this
month’s Volunteer Appreciation Week, I extend my personal thanks to each
and every one of you who takes time out from your very busy schedules
to lend your energy, expertise and insight to our committees and task
forces. You are an inspiration to us all!
