This past month, Monday Properties’ LEED Gold, Energy
Star®-rated 230 Park Avenue, which took home the honors for the 2013-2014
BOMA/NY Pinnacle Award for Historical Building, successfully advanced to the
BOMA International TOBY (The Outstanding Building of the Year) competition at
the Regional level, winning its category for the Middle Atlantic Conference.
The landmark known as the Crown Jewel of Park Avenue, will receive its TOBY on
May 1 on the closing night of the conference in Stamford, Connecticut.
Competition is always keen in the Middle Atlantic
Conference, where winners from 11 states and the District of Columbia vie for
the award, the most prestigious in commercial real estate. The Conference market
region includes some of the fiercest competition in the country—the prestigious
trophy buildings of the Boston to Washington, DC corporate corridor.
The award, which is given for operational excellence,
emphasizes innovation and leadership undertaken within a historic structure
while preserving the integrity of its historic nature. 230 Park won at the
Regional level for Historic Building in 2007 and again in 2012 for Operating
Office Building (Over 1 Million-sf), but has yet to climb the final rung in the
International competition.
Join us in wishing the ownership and management team of this
extraordinary and much beloved building, the best of luck in the International
judging taking place now. May it be one more honor in its crown! |
