It's Your BOMA/NY--Get Involved!

I’ll never forget the words of the head of my firm when
I told him I wanted to join BOMA/NY—bring
back the value, he said. It became my mission to make sure I made the most
out of my BOMA/NY experience so I could benefit from everything the association
had to offer, and share it, in turn, with my co-workers.
As your president, this is my hope for every one of you. And
the first step in reaping the benefits of BOMA/NY is by getting involved.
BOMA/NY is built for you—but we need you to help us build a better BOMA/NY.
The best way to get started is by joining one of our
committees—they are the engines of our Association and produce far-reaching
results for your careers and our industry. In this inaugural issue of 2016, BOMAfacts focuses on three: Preparedness, Codes
& Regulations/Government Affairs and Energy/Sustainability, and profiles the goals and aspirations of our
new Energy/Sustainability Committee Chair, Eric
Duchon. Our recap of the State of
Association demonstrates what can be achieved when you get involved, and as
always, our Calendar delivers
comprehensive critical dates for education, networking, seminars and committee
involvement. Don’t forget, you can also access the power of BOMA/NY through the BOMAfacts masthead links to our Online
Buyers Guide or past issues.
Look for more information in upcoming issues on making full
use of BOMA International products, particularly the Experience Exchange Report, a benchmarking tool that enables you to
compare your building to its peers, while benefiting from having the most
up-to-date market data. It also fulfills a prerequisite for BOMA 360—another prestigious way to
deliver value to your firm. This global standard of performance for operational
best practices signals the market that your building outperforms the
competition across all management platforms, while achieving savings, efficiencies and increased tenant satisfaction
And if you thought this issue arrived in your inbox earlier than
usual—it did! We’re publishing more frequently to deliver more news—and
opportunities—to meet your needs. Write me at president@bomany.com if you have a story
idea or a comment. It’s your BOMA/NY—get involved!
