You talked and we listened, creating sessions targeted specifically to building managers and engineers for our upcoming Annual Energy Action! Day on March 8, 2011, at the New York Hilton.
We'll provide the hands-on tools that your operational staffs will need to meet "The Next Wave in Energy Management." A record number of sponsors--from ownership companies to key energy resources--as well as exhibitors, are also on board to add depth to our day with informative exhibits.
Sessions will cover: how to comply with Local Law 84’s requirements for energy and water benchmarking; how to create a lighting plan for your buildings or corporate assets—an often underappreciated means of reducing energy consumption—with insight as to how to assess and select lighting options/product evaluation and selection; a session on how engineers can use the range of new technologies available today to optimize a building’s chiller plant; and how to develop an energy master plan in this new era of energy price volatility and legislative requirements.
These information sessions will run from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m., followed by a half hour to visit the table top exhibits and a networking reception. Luncheon and the Keynote Address by the NYC Department of Environmental Protection Commissioner Caswell F. Holloway, starts at noon.
Holloway has been instrumental in writing and implementing the Bloomberg administration’s report on the health impact of the 9/11 attacks and shepherding recommendations through to enactment as law. He's also played a vital role in implementing the City’s new Solid Waste Management Plan and citywide recycling.
Cost for both the seminar and the luncheon is $220 for a BOMA/NY member and $290 for non-members. For luncheon only, the cost is $160 for BOMA/NY members and $210 for non-members. Anyone interested in attending should contact BOMA/NY’s Sylvester Giustino at 212-239-3662 or sylvester@bomany.com.
