Be A Standard Bearer — Help ASHRAE Define High Performance Buildings

Are you passionate about green buildings and, more importantly, setting the right standards for our industry? Then ASHRAE needs you for SSPC 189.1 "Standard for the Design of High-Performance, Green Buildings Except Low–Rise Residential Buildings."

The new standard will provide minimum requirements for site selection, design, construction and operations of high-performance green buildings in order to balance environmental responsibility, including resource efficiency, occupant comfort and the creation of developments that do not compromise the ability of future generations to meet their needs.

The standards will be made by a national committee that will bring together talent and expertise in these areas: site sustainability, construction/contracting, acoustics and noise control, facilities management and building operations, water and energy use, and materials and resources.
