On Oct. 1, New York City’s new Construction Code becomes
effective, and you and your team will want to be as up to date as possible on
all the changes. Training began April 9 and will continue through early June,
so make sure you sign up as quickly as possible.
The Department Of Buildings
(DOB) has posted information and links to the training sessions, which are
being offered by various organizations, on its website.
To find what is being offered, schedules, how to
register and more, go to the DOB home page at http://www.nyc.gov/html/dob/html/home/home.shtml.
There’s a link right on the home page, called "Learn About the
2014 Construction Code Training Programs," that will take you to a page listing
all the courses, times and pertinent information.
The DOB has also advised that if you cannot have all team
members attend, consider sending at least one person to a session, who can then
bring the information back to the building or group and train the team. |
