The 2016 Annual Conference and Leadership Breakfast was held on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at Club 101. NYC Department of Buildings Commissioner Rick D. Chandler presented a keynote address updating participants on the newest phases of DOB NOW, the city’s reform program outlined in Building One City. The keynote addressed was followed by a panel discussion led by Philip Santantonio, Co-Founder of KM Associates of New York; Frank Fortino, President/CEO of Metropolis Group; Stephen Rizzo, Counsel of Rizzo Group; and Domenick Chieco, Managing Partner of Milrose Consultants. The event also included the announcement of the BOMA New York 2017 Board Leadership and newly elected Directors. 

The event was sponsored by Ashokan Water Services; Burnham New York; Con Ed Solutions; DTM Elevator Consulting & Drafting Services, Inc.; ES Partners Inc.; New York Coalition of Code Consultants (NYCCC); Paramount Group, Inc.; and Skyline Restoration, Inc.

BOMA New York scheduled several building tours for its Emerging Leader members. The members had an opportunity to tour Eataly, One Bryant Park and Madison Square Garden, and they concluded the tour at One World Trade Center on Friday, November 4, 2016. The tour began at Four World Trade Center with a presentation about the construction of all the World Trade Center Towers. The presentation was followed by an exclusive tour starting at the newly constructed Transportation Hub to the 63rd floor,  which gives a 360 degree view of the city. 
 
The 2016 Annual Dinner Dance was held on Friday, November 4, 2016 at the Rainbow Room. The evening consisted of cocktails, dinner and dancing to music by Ultimate DJ.
