After 14-years at Cushman & Wakefield, Sharon Hart was hired by
New York Life Investments as a Senior Director.
New York Life Investments is comprised of the affiliated global asset
management businesses of its parent company, New York Life Insurance Company (New York Life). New York Life Investments offer clients access to specialized, independent investment teams through its family of affiliated boutiques. The organization manages $288 billion of assets under management.
As Senior Director, Sharon oversees the third-party relationships for the management of both owned and leased assets, as well as the transactional activities for these assets. Additionally, she is responsible for the capital improvements and operations.
Sharon’s career with New York Life Investments began on the client side working for Cushman & Wakefield in NYC. With C&W, Sharon managed various assets including accounts for PepsiCo, GenRe and New York Life Insurance Company. Prior to C&W, Sharon was the EVP for Cappeli Enterprises in Valhalla where she was responsible for mixed portfolios of commercial, residential and retail assets.
Ms. Hart received her BA in Psychology from Mercer University, a Real Property Administrator designation from BOMA, a Certified Property Manager designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management, and is a LEED Accredited Professional. Sharon was awarded the Pinnacle Award for Manager of the Year in 2018, In 2019, Sharon and her team was awarded Corporate Facility of the Year at the Pinnacles on behalf of her client’s home office location, The New York Life Building. She is a previous Board Member of Southern Connecticut BOMA, past winner (2010) of the TOBY Award for General RE Corporate Headquarters, Stamford CT and past winner (2017) of IREM’s CPM of the Year award. Sharon is also the past President of the Greater NY Chapter of IREM.
Sharon, along with serving on the Board of Directors, joined BOMA’s Code & Regulations Committee (reporting on labor and insurance) and is part of the Pinnacle Awards Committee assisting with advertisement / sponsorship and as a judge for the New Construction category. On behalf of BOMA New York, she has promoted attendance and sponsorship for BOMA New York events and education throughout her network.
Sharon and her husband Steven reside in Stamford, CT and are the proud parents of Ryan, 18 and Emily, 15. With a passion for community service and advocacy for her daughter, Sharon has been on the Boards of GiGi’s Playhouse NYC and Westchester for the past ten years.
