Shafira was born in Malaysia and is part Malaysian and part Vietnamese.  Her family moved to the United States in 2005.  After graduating University of California Irvine in 2018, Shafira was a housing coordinator, where she counseled homeless, as well as people with disabilities to help them find homes within their financial means, via the Section 8 housing program in California.  She said, “It fulfilled me to serve the underserved.”   Having also done contract work for Facebook, Shafira comes to BOMA New York with technology and organizational skills.  Shafira moved from Southern California to Queens and loves to read science fiction.  We look forward to working with her and welcome Shafira to the BOMA New York family.
