Dear Members:
This month’s issue marks the halfway point of the year and I’m proud to share that BOMA New York’s programs continue to set attendance records while providing valuable information and memorable experiences.
Earlier this month, the Golf Classic at Edgewood Country Club was sold out! Congratulations to the first place team with an impressive score of 58: Gary Flood, Ryan Ctrangola, Phil Caraciola, and Glenn Herzberg. Thank you to all the attendees and the many sponsors that make the Golf Classic a success every year.
Two weeks ago, we hosted Avison Young where Scott Singer and James Nelson delivered an optimistic message for the future of the city’s commercial real estate market in their State of the Market presentation. The high-level webinar was followed by our first annual Proptech Conference & Expo with Host Sponsor Fordham University Real Estate Institute. The event showcased the brightest minds in proptech and attracted hundreds of attendees. Thank you to the 20 sponsors.
As we look forward to the balance of the year, our programming will focus on the drivers that affect the landscape of the industry, including varied occupancy levels, compliance with local laws, partnering with tenants, and a shared goal of getting closer to carbon-neutral. New monthly forums, exclusive building tours, and continued educational opportunities will be announced.
I wish everyone a fantastic summer and look forward to celebrating with you at the Pinnacle Awards Dinner at Pier 60 in September.
Sincerely,
Matt Duthie
