10 Years After 9/11: Looking Forward, But Never Forgetting

On September 14, 2011, BOMA/NY will present Remembrance & Renewal, a program dedicated to the 10th anniversary of 9/11 at Battery Gardens in Lower Manhattan. The commemoration will feature a brief tribute video listing the names of all those working for BOMA/NY member companies who lost their lives that day, as well as a look forward at the many accomplishments made by our industry in safety, security, emergency response and training since that day.

Our event planning committee has extended keynote address invitations to Mayors Giuliani and Bloomberg. Serving on the planning committee are: Chair Anthony S. Lifrieri, RPA (Silverstein Properties), Michael J. Copperstone, RPA (American Building Maintenance), Edward M. Fallon, RPA (Brookfield Properties), Jim Halpin (Platinum Maintenance), James R. Kleeman, RPA (Related Management Co., LP), J.D. Maarleveld (Harvard Maintenance), Louis J. Mantia (Cushman & Wakefield, Inc.), Kevin Mulligan (Mulligan Security) and Louis S. Trimboli, RPA/FMA (CBRE, Inc.)

Sponsorships are also being sought to help defray program production costs for the video tribute as well as a commemorative pin and related event staging costs.

The sponsorship levels are: Crown - $25,000; Tower 1 - $10,000; Tower 2 - $5,000; Tower 3 - $2,500; Tower 4 - $1,000 and Memorial - Less than $1,000. Sponsor benefits are being developed now, and a mailing will be sent shortly to all with more details.

We urge you to save the date now, and look for invitations to be in your inbox in early summer.
