230 Park Adds to Its Accolades; Joins a Growing List of Standard-Setters

Monday Properties’ Pinnacle Award-winning 230 Park Avenue (2010-11 Operating Office Building over 1 million sf), has just added another achievement to its long list of accomplishments—BOMA 360 Certification.

230 Park, which also received its Energy Star, LEED Gold and Pinnacle Award within the past year, joins a prestigious list of buildings nationwide that have been certified by this standard-setting program. It is also one of only 11 buildings in New York to be awarded the BOMA 360 designation.

The other 10 are: 148 Lafayette, managed by Louis Dreyfus Property Group; 245 Park Avenue, 300 Madison Avenue, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, the Grace Building, One Liberty Plaza, One New York Plaza and One World Financial Center, managed by Brookfield Properties; TIAA-CREF, managed by Cushman & Wakefield, Inc., and Time Warner Center, managed by Related Management.

The BOMA 360 program broke new ground in the field of property management with its goal of  recognizing outstanding achievement, while providing a tool for demonstrating operational excellence. It is also a valuable marketing vehicle, stating, in effect, that your building has not only met—but exceeded—industry best practices and operates to the highest standards of excellence. The program takes its name from the idea that it covers all aspects, or "360-degrees", of management and benchmarks performance in Building Operations and Management, Life Safety/Security/Risk Management, Training and Education, Energy, Environmental/Sustainability, Tenant Relations and Community Impact.

You can submit your application any time of the year and a tiered application fee applies. Designations are conferred quarterly and must be renewed every three years. The decision to award the designations is made by a nine-member, independent BOMA 360 Performance Program Council, which also provides administrative oversight and continuous review and updates to keep the program current with best practices and industry standards.
