Port Authority Head to Keynote BOMA/NY 9/11 Commemoration

Christopher O. Ward, Executive Director of The Port Authority of  New York and New Jersey will join us as Keynote Speaker on September 14, 2011, for Remembrance & Renewal, the BOMA/NY program commemorating the 10th anniversary of 9/11 at Battery Gardens in Lower Manhattan. BOMA/NY's long-standing relationship  with the Port Authority includes coming together over the first World Trade Center attack in the early 1990's, and sharing insight on future plans for the site in the intervening decade. Please mark your calendar now to join us for what will surely be a memorable day among memorable company.

In addition to Mr. Ward, our program will feature a brief tribute video listing the names of all those who worked for BOMA/NY member companies and lost their lives that day, as well as a look forward to the many accomplishments made by our industry in safety, security, emergency response and training in the decade since. We will continue our commemoration through cooperating with the media on coverage of these advances, and are encouraging all members of the industry and their building teams to remember the day with a moment of silence at 8:46 am on 9/11.

You will have the opportunity to support this day through a Sponsorship, which will help defray program production costs, while carrying with them promotional benefits. Sign-up forms and information packets were emailed last month and all sponsors must be enrolled by August 1st. Contribution levels have been structured by the event planning committee for every budget, and will cover the costs of the video tribute, program, commemorative pin, collateral production and related event staging costs.
