As a not-for-profit organization, Technical Safety BC does not receive government funding. Instead, they operate using fees collected from services. This includes funding education opportunities and compliance and enforcement activities to uphold fairness for those participating in their safety system. With client feedback and COVID-19 related recovery indicators in mind, fees are changing soon.
A 2% general increase in fees will take place on May 17, 2021. This increase will not apply to the amusement devices technology as their research indicates that this industry has experienced unparalleled impact due to COVID-19.
Visit their fee changes page for further details on the consultation results and updated fee schedules for 2021- 2023.
Clients who have been financially impacted by COVID-19 are supported through payment plan options. These options may include partial or deferred payments, depending on your situation. Please contact them to learn more.
