Surrey joined hundreds of cities worldwide in declaring a climate emergency in November 2019. In response, it has been working on developing a new Climate Change Action Strategy (CCAS) to reduce Surrey’s carbon pollution to net-zero by 2050 and improve the community’s resilience to the impacts of climate change.
The city is seeking feedback from the community to help shape the plan.
You can learn what's being proposed at www.surrey.ca/climateaction, where you will find fact sheets, a timeline, an FAQ, and the opportunity to submit questions. You can also sign up to receive updates and be notified of future input opportunities.
