If you are interested in developing your skills while working from home, consider taking BOMA's online eEnergyTraining course. Good to Know

Outside fires are up 17% from this time last year, and can spread to the inside of buildings. Vancouver Fire Rescue Services provides these important reminders:

  • Remove excessive debris.
  • Keep garbage and recycling bins inside.
  • Place bins outside as briefly as possible.

BC has a dedicated online platform that provides a single point of entry to prioritize the thousands of offers and donations for essential supplies from businesses. The initial focus of the COVID-19 Supply Hub is to source supplies for the health care system and front-line workers, although BC Government is also accepting offers for other essentials, like cleaning supplies.

If you are able to offer support or supplies visit the COVID-19 Supply Hub to submit your offer.

It can be tempting during these unprecedented times to switch off your elevators, escalators or autowalks, believing it to be the right thing to do during this pandemic. Quick pause, please! In cases where the building is totally shut down, this may be unavoidable. Wherever possible, it is advised to not shutdown vertical transportation.

With the assistance of BOMA BC, BOMA Canada has released three BOMA BEST user guides. Each guide is designed to help walk you through the BOMA BEST Sustainable Buildings certification program with helpful tips and tricks. The guides are based on your role in the BOMA BEST process: building manager in the Single Stream, building manager in the Portfolio Stream or Portfolio Manager in the Portfolio Stream.

Vancouver Coastal Health has posted an advisory about stagnant water in under- and unoccupied facilities.
